“Colourful, Fun and Quirky!”

A positive sample experience creates brand loyalty

The purchasing of Sample Pots is a crucial step in the painting process as it is one of the first proper brand experiences. History has also shown that if consumers had a positive sample pot experience they will not deviate from that brand – meaning we needed to create a real emotional connection with the audience. The brief needed to break all of the conventional rules, tapping into the audience’s emotions and dispelling their fears of painting through colloquial language and a unique design.

The design was built on simplicity – utilising the Taubmans bubbles as the foundation and then a simple scripty font with quirky sayings like “I love HUE” and “Hue got it going on” to really emotionally connect with the audience and make them feel excited about using Taubmans.

One of the greatest barriers to painting is the fear of choosing the right colour. The company wanted to help ease this barrier by making painting fun so tasked Jam&Co with updating their Sample Pot packaging.
